Inland Seas Begins its 20th Schoolship Season

May 1st marked the beginning of the 20th season for ISEA's Schoolship Program. Calm seas greeted students from Suttons Bay Middle School's 8th grade and several seniors from Mr. Capron's chemistry class. The weather was a bit chilly though, with the air temperature at a steady 44 degrees and water at 40.5. It was also the first day using a new fish trawl, and although we maked a lot of fish, we caught none. Better luck tomorrow. Late in the program we picked up a nice breeze from the NE and had good sailing on our way back into the lower bay.

Looking for those fish in the new trawl.
