Young Women in Science, Upper Peninsula Trip

First Escanaba crew, lead by Capt. Remy Champt, ready to disembark after a week sailing in Little Bay de Noc. Emily and Jeannie (Educator and Cook, respectively), stayed for the remaining four days.   Everyone in PFD's during Abandon Ship practice. Sailing on Big Bay de Noc, on our way to FayetteWorking on research presentations, day 2. Research topics were the relative abundance of zebra and quagga mussels, and the impacts on the benthic fish community of the round goby. Round Goby group presenting their results. Round goby was the dominate fish collected by our bottom trawls.
