Liberty Readied to Sail

ISEA's Friendship sloop Liberty is being readied for her new port assignment in Charlevoix. Under a joint operating agreement with ISEA and Sea Ports Great Lakes Liberty will continue her role in teaching youth the values of team work and learning under sail. Sea Ports Great Lakes will provide onboard programs for families, students and adjudicated youth using Liberty as their sailing classroom. She will be berthed along the harbor wall in downtown Charlevoix where she will be very visible to the public.
"Having Liberty berthed in Charlevoix will create a new audience for Inland Seas and our mission of Great Lakes education and stewardship," said ISEA's exective director Tom Kelly. "We look forward to working with Sea Ports Great Lakes to make this happen."

  1. What a great way to share ISEA's resources with other areas of Michigan. Can you make it all the way to Harbor Springs for Regatta weekend this August?
